PARCC—The Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career


The English/literacy assessments will ask students to:

  • read multiple related selections
  • analyze those readings
  • write about the readings
  • analyze in ways that have not been tested in the US before on large-scale assessments


"Students may have seen something like these in very good schools on teacher-made tests, but even that is probably unlikely unless students are fortunate enough to be in college preparatory classes."
