2016 is proving to be a year of victories for Young Scientists in Luxembourg: for the third time this year, a Luxembourg team has returned with a medal - this time, Alexandre Burman and Pierre Klemmer clinched first place in Portugal, at the Youth Science Meeting in Lisbon.

Alexandre Burman and Pierre Klemmer, both aged 16, winners of the Jonk Fuerscher 2016 national competition in Luxembourg, won the top international award at the Portuguese event Youth Science Meeting, which was held in Lisbon from 24 to 31 July. Their project was awarded by a jury of researchers from more than 30 projects from Europe and Latin America.
