The Huawei telecom company has just published the 2018 edition of its report on digital connectivity, with its composite Global Connectivity Index (GCI), which analyses the performance of 79 countries worldwide in terms of their digital performance. This year - for the first time - the company has looked into the situation in the Grand Duchy. And the Grand Duchy comes out well: 13th place in the global ranking, and 6th place in the EU.

Experience in digital technology: the Grand Duchy's strong point
With a score of 63 out of 100, the Grand Duchy ranks 13th in the Global Connectivity Index. The global ranking is headed by the United States (78/100), followed by Singapore (75) and Sweden (73). The Netherlands rank 8the (67), Germany 14th (63), Belgium 18th (61), and France 19th (61). This puts the Grand Duchy and its neighbours among the 20 'frontrunners' in the ITC world - countries that make intelligent use of connectivity to accelerate the growth of their digital economy.
