Ever wanted to work in the field of aerospace but didn't know where to start? Now is your chance as the European Space Agency (ESA) is to offer 14 internships for Luxembourg students.
The paid placements are part of a Luxembourg youth graduate trainee programme (LuxYGT), offering young graduates their first experience in various sectors related to aerospace.
The LuxYGT programme was created as a result of an agreement between Luxembourg's Economy Ministry and the ESA in order to develop skills in the space sector locally.
“Renowned internationally for hosting SES, one of the world's largest satellite operators, the national aerospace sector is an example of Luxembourg's engagement in the diversification and innovation in advanced technologies. This additional training provided by ESA allows young graduates to acquire high-tech work experience will be an asset for their future careers,” Economy Miniser Etienne Schneider said of the initiative.
Candidates wishing to apply for the LuxYGT must have obtained their Masters or degree in the past two years. Successful applicants will occupy roles for a period of 12 months with the possibility to extend the placement by a further 12 months.
Pay is 2,200 euros per month, tax free including health insurance and accident cover. To find out more, visit gov.lu/luxygt.
