Excellent ideas!
I always tell those who I am coaching....if you don't know why you are the best candidate for the position and why you should be hired....how will you be able to express to the interviewer?
Prepare yourself Prepare and research the job you are applying for Prepare and research to know about the company

No matter how well you did in the interview, you keep all of your options open until you have signed the offer letter.
Do send the thank you letter. Do follow up gently. Remember how busy the recruiter is, they are recruiting for multiple positions.

Great article! I always suggest to everyone that the phone interview preparation needs to be approached with differently than the face-to-face.
You need to do all of the same preparation as you would for the in person one; however, now you need to make sure that you turn off the call waiting, use a land based phone, practice answering questions by recording yourself to see how your responses sound.
In person - the majority of communication is your body language. Over the telephone the majority is your tone of voice, words, word emphasis, etc. So practice!! |

So many people who I have interviewed in the past did not take time to know my full name, title, and background yet alone research about the company and position they were applying for.

Excellent advice on what to do with your social media before your job interview.
If you do nothing else, make sure that you research the company, the interviewer's bio, and please remove any inappropriate pholographs or posts from your social media.
